What is your advice to students on how to adjust their job search in the time of COVID 19?
The coronavirus pandemic has put a damper on almost everyone’s plans the past year and a half, especially on how future grads plans of finding work post-graduation. Despite the uncertainty, there are many avenues available to students to help them navigate the job search.
Starting and maintaining your professional presence online has never been more important. Updating websites such as LinkedIn and Handshake with relevant experience, clubs, organizations, and relevant work are a strong way to get recruiters to notice you online.
No matter what you decide to do, it is important to acknowledge that you are facing challenges as a new graduate entering the workforce that many people are also facing at the same time. Above all, take care of yourself and the people around you as we navigate this situation together.
How has your recruitment model adjusted to this unprecedented time?
TTI anticipates with much excitement the return to in-person events and presentations, but we have adjusted quickly to the changing environment of the pandemic. We have brought our training, quarterly meetings, and networking events into the virtual world. This goes for our recruiting as well. Our recruiting team has seamlessly transitioned to using online platforms for sourcing candidates, hosting virtual career fairs and classroom presentations, and conducting interviews remotely. We have had to think on our feet and be creative in order to meet the demand that comes with operating a company that has experienced the drastic growth we have in the past 2 years.
What excites you about TTi?
The most exciting aspect of TTi is our dedication to offering the best products to our consumers. We are consistently improving our current products as well as bringing new to world cordless technologies to the marketplace. This drives growth for our company and creates new and exciting opportunities for our employees.
What advice do you have for students on how to stand out in the TTI application process?
We look for students who can demonstrate strong leadership abilities. We focus on developing individuals within our company to establish the next generation of company leadership. We do this through our leadership development program, which guides and develops our reps to reach their full potential in the company and the career goals they desire.
