What excites you about this internship?

I look forward to learning about the different service lines, networking with professionals and other interns from across the country, and learning about the firm’s culture.

How did you strategize landing this internship?

As a freshman, I attended Meet the Firms in the Fall and established a good introduction with the firms. In the Spring, I attended the speaker meetings and applied to 8 different firms hoping to get at least one offer. I later ended with 4 offers.

What career advice do you have for other students, or anyone, looking for an internship or job in this market?

I credit a lot of my success to my mentor who encouraged me to attend the recruiting events early as a freshman. I give the same advice now to anyone I meet. I encourage them to talk to the firms no matter how big or small they are and just get their name out there. Even if you don’t have any experience, everyone brings something to the table and there is a firm out there for everyone. You just have to take the first step and get out there.
