Five graduate students from the Argyros College of Business & Economics, Alexander E. Hayden School of Real Estate brought home the coveted Orange Cup at the fifth annual NAIOP SoCal OC Real Estate Challenge.

The Master of Science in Real Estate (MSRE) students earned top honors with their proposal, The Pulse at Anaheim, a redevelopment concept for an approximately 8.3-acre site in Anaheim encompassing six vacant parcels. Their plan featured 40,000 square feet of dining, retail and experiential space alongside 306 multifamily units, positioning the site as both a community gathering place and a compelling destination for visitors.

The team presented before a panel of senior commercial real estate leaders from firms including Hines, Colliers, Prologis and Allen Matkins, as well as a live audience. Judges evaluated both written and oral presentations, with Chapman earning the most points across both rounds.

Competing students included Lucas Ghahari, Clayton Lobel, Enyo Kim, Eric Valdivia and Helen Woldemariam.

The Orange Cup victory continues Chapman’s strong track record in the competition, hosted annually by the NAIOP SoCal chapter, and highlights the Alexander E. Hayden School of Real Estate’s growing reputation as a leader in real estate education.
