TILT Application Workshop
When: Friday, September 25, 11am-2pm (lunch provided)
Where: Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship (549 W. Palm Ave.; parking available on-site), Orange Campus
The purpose of this hands-on workshop is to provide an opportunity for those who attended the August CETL conference to set aside time to continue their work on applying TILT to two assignments in one of their courses. We will briefly review the TILT framework at the start of this session, provide resources to support the application of TILT, and address any questions participants may have about applying it to their assignments. Participants will also have the opportunity to work with peers to ensure effective application of TILT.
Tasks:
- Bring the assignment you chose to apply the TILT framework to during the conference in August.
- Come prepared to discuss the successes and/or challenges you had with applying TILT and/or implementing this TILTed assignment.
- Bring a second assignment you’d like to apply TILT to and come prepared to develop the purpose, task, and criteria for this assignment during the workshop.
Criteria for success: Participants will leave with at least one fully TILTed assignment and a plan for its implementation in their course.
Who should attend: Full-time faculty who attended the August conference and want to participate in a working session focused on continuing to create TILTed assignments with support from the CETL team and peer collaboration.

Introduction to TILT Workshop
When: Friday, September 25, 10am-2pm (lunch provided)
Where: Leatherby Center for Entrepreneurship (549 W. Palm Ave.; parking available on-site), Orange Campus
This session will provide an introduction to the Transparency in Learning and Teaching (TILT) framework followed by a hands-on workshop in which participants will begin to revise an assignment using this framework, with support from the CETL team. Participants will also hear from faculty who have begun to use the TILT framework in their own assignments and courses and learn from their successes and challenges.
Who should attend: Full-time faculty who were unable to attend the August CETL conference (or attended only part of the day) and want to learn more about TILT and how to apply it to an assignment.
Register by September 17 to participate in this workshop.
