Chapman Water Polo Team Clean Up at Hart Park
October 25, 2022
Last weekend, the Chapman men’s water polo team came together for a community clean up at Hart Park. They filled up eight bags of trash in total.
The team expressed the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with their neighbors in Orange. Team captain, Jake Bullock said “We want the Orange community to have a positive perception of not only the men’s water polo team at Chapman but our entire student body.”
Bullock noted the significance of upkeeping community spaces. “We want the community to know that we take great pride in keeping our local parks (Hart Park) clean especially since we have the privilege of getting to use them for our own sporting events. This is just our way of giving back to the community that gives us so much.”
The team members, seen smiling as they do their duty to the local community, were happy to spend their day off making a difference in Orange. Though this gathering was different than their usual practices, Chapman men’s water polo exercised teamwork skills to work towards a worthy goal, not unlike during one of their matches.
