In February, Chapman’s Office of Community Relations sponsored a Volunteer Fair in the Student Union. More than a dozen local organizations with opportunities for student volunteers participated, including Friendly Center and the Hub/YCO/Full Circle.

Service is an integral part of the student experience at Chapman. More than 75% of students at Chapman participate in volunteer and community engagement projects, contributing over 100,000 volunteer hours annually.

Attendees in the fair have worked in close collaboration with students through the Panther Experiential Philanthropy Project, an innovative program that connects students to community problems, need and local solutions and provides grants of up to $2,000 to local nonprofits.
