The College of Performing Arts is pleased to announce an exciting new collaboration between the Pacific Symphony and Opera Chapman.  Prior to the Pacific Symphony concerts on February 23, 24 & 25 and March 1, 2 & 3, Opera Chapman soloists performed musical selections in the lobby of the Renee and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall.  The soloists included Brittany Bethurum (’12), Monica Alfredsen (’13), Anna Schubert (‘12), Emily Dyer (‘14), Kylena Parks (‘14), Kevin Gino (‘14), and Daniel Shipley (‘15).

In addition, mezzo-soprano Brittany Bethurum performed the Sandman in two performances of Hansel and Gretel on March 3, 2012 with the Pacific Symphony Family Musical Mornings series.  Brittany, Chelsea Chaves (‘12) and Clara Chung (’12) were covers for the roles of Hansel, Gretel and the Sandman respectively, and were featured performers during the Carnival Musical activities before the morning performances.
