Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of the passage of the 19th Amendment, guaranteeing and protecting women’s constitutional right to vote, the Department of Theatre’s 2019–20 season was built around plays either written by women or featuring prominent female characters and plotlines, as well as female leadership in the production team.

This season of #HERSTORIES is meant to honor women who have lobbied, rallied, and labored to create platforms for women’s voices and change, and to hopefully create further opportunities to hear those voices in our own community. We hope you’ll join us for this exciting season!

The 2019–20 Theatre Season Selection Committee:
Nick Gabriel, Jocelyn Buckner, Ed Lapine, Lyla Flashman, John Benitz
