The TH 329: Dramaturgy class taught by Dr. Jocelyn L. Buckner received a Certificate of Merit from the Kennedy Center/American College Theatre Festival for their dramaturgical work on the Department of Theatre’s spring production of
Stage Door
, by George S. Kaufman and Edna Ferber and directed by Dr. Nina LeNoir.

B.A. Theatre major Stephanie Brynn Nelson (’14) was awarded a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) from the Chapman Office of Undergraduate Research in support of the project “Theatrical Trans*formations” in which she will investigate queer theory and performance histories and practices. This research will inform a production of
Hidden: A Gender
directed and dramaturged by Stephanie in the 2013-14 academic year as her senior honors thesis. Dr. Jocelyn L. Buckner is the faculty mentor for this project.
