Can you share a moment when a professor, advisor, or classmate made a big difference in your college journey?
A moment that made a big difference in my college journey is when my physics professor showed up to class in a Buc-ee’s onesie on Halloween. We had an exam that day and it really helped me realize that things can be serious but it’s also important to have fun while doing it.
What’s your favorite hidden gem on campus or around town that new students should check out?
My favorite hidden gem is the Escalette Collection on campus. There are so many beautiful works around campus that go unnoticed by so many but are really worth the stop to learn more and appreciate it. It’s so fun to go to random buildings around just to see what art is in it.
What activities or organizations were most meaningful to you at Chapman?
The activities I have enjoyed the most around campus is the Monday night soccer and the First Aid team. Soccer was always such a fun way to get some exercise while also meeting some really fun people. The First Aid Team is definitely the highlight of my Chapman career. I had the pleasure of being part of the team for 3 years and it has changed my life immensely. I had the best mentors my first year on the team and had the pleasure to be a mentor to new members this past year. I am beyond grateful for all the experience I gained
If you could describe your Chapman experience in one word, what would it be—and why?
It is impossible to sum up my Chapman experience in one word. But if I absolutely had to I would say it was eye-opening. I learned so much about medicine but I also learned so much about myself. College is such a magical time not only for your education, but for discovering yourself too.
What are your future plans after graduation?
I have aspirations of going to PA school. I am currently almost finished getting my MA certificate so that I can get patient care hours for PA school. I plan on taking 1-2 gap years to get those hours and travel before applying and going to PA school.
