Last week we opened up our Dodge Screening Series with the film BLINDSPOTTING which was directed by Carlos López Estrada (BFA/FP ’12).

The Dodge Screening Series film for this week is ROCK STEADY ROW. This week we enlisted the help of a very special guest to introduce the film, the director Trevor Stevens (BFA/FP ’15).

ROCK STEADY ROW centers around a young college freshman who, after his bike is stolen, lands on a college campus and is compelled to take action against the reigning fraternities and ultimately the dean.

The film premiered at the Slamdance Film Festival in 2018 and took home the top two prizes from the festival. They were awarded the Grand Jury Prize for Best Narrative Feature as well as taking home the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. The equivalent of being both critically acclaimed and loved by the general public. The film also screened at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival where it took home the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature. It was then released on Digital Platforms by the distributor Gunpowder & Sky.

The awards kept coming as the film also screened at the Mammoth Lakes Film Festival.

Jade Allen (BFA/CRPR ’16), Madeleine Krikava (BFA/CRPR ’16), and Gia Rigoli (BFA/CRPR ’18) were all producers on the film. Nico Aguilar (BFA/FP ’16) was the cinematographer on the film, and Jordan Allen (BFA/FP ’13) edited the film.
