We have been getting a lot of questions lately about our admissions deadlines and what they mean, so I thought I would help explain the differences.

First of all, our November 15 “Early Action” deadline is non-binding. This means that if you apply for this date, you will find your decision out earlier, but you are not contractually obligated to come here (although hopefully you want to!).

The only weird thing about this date is that all film production applications have to be in by that date. We need extra time to review all of your application materials, so your only option is to apply early.

We really do encourage everyone to apply Early Action. That way you know in January or February if you got in, and have plenty of time to visit us again before you have to make your decision. Now, if you are totally overwhelmed with senior year activities and need a few extra months to work on the application, you can definitely wait until our regular admission deadline in January.

Hope that helps explain things a bit! Please don’t hesitate to comment on here if you have any follow up questions.
