Justin Simien (BFA/Film Production ’04) is making headlines left and right lately!

The writer, director, and producer of the film Dear White People won the Special Jury Award for Breakthrough Talent at the 2014 Sundance Festival, and also the Audience Award at the 2014 San Francisco International Film Festival. In 2013, Simien was named one of 10 Directors to Watch by Variety.

On Wednesday night, Simien appeared on The Colbert Report, and was interviewed by Stephen Colbert about the film. The interview is hilarious, enlightening, and very entertaining.
