The Communication Sciences and Disorders graduate program at Chapman University will be hosting the Survivor Symposium on March 14, 2015 at Argyros Form, Room 208 from 9am – 1pm. This event will focus on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). The theme of the event is TBI: Managing Transitions and Recovery and the speakers include Dr. Mary Kennedy, a Speech-Language Pathologist and professor for the CSD graduate program and Sue Rueb, the owner and director of the Brain Rehabilitation and Injury Network (B.R.A.I.N). In addition, there will be a panel of survivors and survivor’s loved ones who will share their journey of living and coping with a TBI. This event is open to the public and is a great opportunity for Speech-Language Pathologists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, doctors, coaches, students, parents and individuals who have experienced a brain injury to learn more about how to transition back into everyday life after a brain injury.
