The Chapman Commencement weekend will be one you’ll remember for years to come. We’re excited to have all Chapman graduating students together on Wilson Field for the University Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 20, 2022 at 7:00 p.m. and for the Dale E. and Sarah Ann Fowler School of Engineering Degree Ceremony on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. These two ceremonies will honor your achievements and celebrate the work you have done in your time at Chapman University and within Fowler Engineering.

Interfaith Baccalaureate Service
Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 7 p.m.,Ray and Pauline Wallace All Faiths Chapel.

  • The service features a deeply inspirational message for all graduates, whether secular, spiritual or religious, honoring each graduate’s search for meaning.
  • Graduating students are all invited, along with their families and Chapman students, faculty and staff.Graduates RSVP to interfaith@chapman.edu. Family are first come first serve seating.

University Commencement Ceremony
Friday, May 20, 2022, 7:00 p.m., Wilson Field.

  • Celebrate with the entire Chapman & Fowler Engineering graduating class
  • Turning of the tassels as President Struppa officially confers degrees
  • Keynote speaker – Nadia Murad, Nobel Peace Laureate, UN Goodwill Ambassador, and President of Nadia’s Initiative
  • Celebratory toast with President Struppa!

We strongly encourage all graduating students to attend the University Commencement Ceremony.

Guest tickets will be required for this ceremony. Students can reserve their guest tickets through AudienceView.

Fowler School of Engineering Degree Ceremony
Saturday, May 21, 2022, 1:00 p.m., Wilson Field.

The Degree Ceremony for Fowler Engineering celebrates our graduates and your hard work throughout your educational career. Once the ceremony has concluded, we invite the graduates and their families to attend a reception following the ceremony. Fowler Engineering faculty and staff will be present to congratulate you, take photos and mingle with your families before you head off to your family/friend celebrations.

RSVP information will be emailed to you. Be sure to check your Chapman email and the Commencement website for updates.

Guests: There is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may invite to this ceremony and we encourage our graduates to invite as many guests as they would like to celebrate this achievement. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Entry gates to Wilson Field open 30 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony.

What time will the Fowler Engineering Commencement Ceremony end?
The ceremony will end approximately at 2:00 p.m. 

How many people can I bring to the Fowler Engineering Commencement Ceremony?
There is no limit to number of guests a graduate may invite and we encourage our graduates to invite as many guests as they would like to celebrate this achievement.

Seating is on a first come, first served basis. Entry gates to Wilson Field open 30 minutes prior to the start of each ceremony.

What COVID-19 precautions will Chapman take?
We continue to work with the Orange County Health Care Agency to ensure that we have a ceremony befitting Chapman, that also complies with the state and local health and safety requirements. Guidelines for keeping healthy are based upon recommendations from the CDC and local health authorities. By working together and following these guidelines, we can help protect the health of everyone on campus and in our community.
