The St. Thomas More Society of Orange County presented the Lawyer Award to Former Dean and Donald P. Kennedy Chair John Eastman following the Red Mass. Every year the Society hosts the Red Mass, a tradition in the Catholic legal community that dates back to 1245, when a special mass was held for the Bench and Bar to remind lawyers and judges alike of the important roles they play in the pursuit of justice. This year the Red Mass was held in Orange at Holy Family Cathedral on November 8, 2010.
