On Monday, December 9, 2013, the Fowler School of Law, U.S. Department of Commerce, and China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) will co-host the 18th Annual U.S.-China Legal Exchange.

This exchange will be an opportunity for Chinese trade officials to weigh in on new developments in China’s commercial legal and regulatory landscape. China’s Assistant Minister of Commerce Zhang Xiangchen and other high-level government officials will present to the public in Washington, D.C., Boston, and Orange County on two different areas of China’s commercial law, including “Chinese Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Law” and “Legal Aspects of Entrepreneurship in China.”

Bingham McCutcheon partner Jim Chapman and Director of the National Resource Defense Council’s China Program Barbara Finamore will be speaking during this event. Fowler School of Law Professors Deepa Badrinarayana and Lan Cao will also be speaking as well as moderating the Exchange.

The legal and academic communities alike are invited to attend the Legal Exchange and participate in the dialogue.
