Chapman Law Alumnus Named Partner at Fisher Phillips

Law firm Fisher Phillips announced last week the promotion of Chapman University Dale E. Fowler School of Law alumnus John Mavros (’08) to partner of the firm’s Irvine office.
Mavros joined the firm in 2010. His practice includes representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation. It also includes preventative counseling, and assisting employers with employee handbook preparation, wage/hour audits, new hire policies, employee compensation plans, severance agreements, reductions in force, and day-to-day workforce issues.
Before attending law school, Mavros worked in hotel management. He remains an active sponsor of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association and the Anaheim/Orange County Hotel and Lodging Association.
