Fowler School of Law Professor Richard Redding has announced his new textbook, co-edited with Craig L. Frisby, William T. O’Donohue, and Scott O. Lillenfeld, Ideological and Political Bias in Psychology, due to be published by Springer in August 2023. Early endorsements of the text include Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker, who asserts, “This book shows how ideological bias should be treated as a source of research error, up there with classic methodological flaws like non-random assignment and non-blind measurement.”

NYU’s Jonathan Haidt accorded it similar praise, “[The authors] of this volume diagnose the social dynamics of bias and point to reforms that would give us the psychology that we need to address 21st-century problems.”
