Regionals for the National Moot Court Competition were held at Chapman University’s Fowler School of Law this weekend. The Kennedy Hall courtrooms were the battleground for what can only be described as a fiercely competitive field of fourteen teams from California and Arizona as law students fought it out for a coveted place in the finals. With such a stunning display of legal acumen over the two days of competition, the judges had the toughest job in selecting the winners from this accomplished regional cohort of law students.

The Fowler School of Law entered two teams into the contest: Cara Vincent, Lauren Oliveri, and Sonya Nawabi, along with Maret Schwab, Hannah Hamblin, and Kristin Sinks; both groups making it as far as the quarterfinal rounds before being knocked out. However, the Chapman students did not return empty-handed; Cara Vincent was recognized as the top advocate in the preliminary rounds, and Maret, Hannah, and Kristin won the third-place brief.
