Professor Francine Lipman and Professor James Williamson of San Diego State University College of Business Administration recently published their paper entitled “Social Security Benefits Formula 101.” The paper, which appeared in the Orange County Lawyer in May 2011, is a comprehensive presentation of the Social Security benefits formula. Fowler School of Law Dean Paul D. Paton has been appointed by American Bar Association (ABA) President-Elect William R. Bay as a member of the ABA Standing Committee on International Trade in Legal Services (ITILS) for a three-year term beginning this August. The Standing Committee on ITILS monitors ongoing trade negotiations and other initiatives that impact
