Two weeks ago, the Fowler School of Law hosted a regional round of the ABA Arbitration Competition including teams from Texas, Iowa and California.

Two teams represented the Fowler School of Law: Jon Cayton (J.D. ’14), Paul Deese (J.D. ‘14), Clay O’Neal (J.D. ’14), and Stephen Tanizaki (J.D. ‘14), and Ali Bushra (J.D. ’14), Seamus Crowley (J.D. ’14), Aaron Davidson (J.D. ’15), and Andrew Wallin (J.D. ‘14).

The team of Cayton, Deese, O’Neal, and Tanizaki advanced to the final round against Texas Tech University School of Law, where they just missed the win by a 2-1 split decision. Both Fowler and Texas Tech will be advancing to the national final round.

“Some visiting team students competed through their first earthquake, Davidson commented. “Thinking on your feet is fun, and I am excited that the Fowler School of Law will make it to the finals to defend the championship title.”
