Announced on December 2, 2021
Professor Jenny Carey has been appointed Associate Dean for Academic Affairs at the Chapman University Fowler School of Law, stepping into the role previously held by recently named Interim Dean Marisa Cianciarulo.
“I am thrilled that Professor Carey has accepted this position,” said Cianciarulo. “She has served with distinction at the Fowler School of Law for many years both as an educator and as a colleague, and I know she will excel in this leadership role.”
Carey joined the Fowler School of Law faculty in 2005 to teach Legal Analysis Writing and Research, and since 2008, she has served as co-coordinator of the law school’s Legal Research and Writing program. As Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Carey is responsible for overseeing a variety of academic and faculty-related matters at the law school.
Prior to joining the faculty at Chapman, Carey practiced labor and employment law at Rutan & Tucker LLP. She earned her JD at the UCLA School of Law, where she completed the Program in Public Interest Law and Policy. Carey also holds a Master of Social Work from UCLA and a Bachelor of Arts in sociology from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
