Professor Cianciarulo Granted Tenure

The Board of Trustees has officially approved Chapman University Chancellor Daniele C. Struppa’s  recommendation to award tenure to Professor Cianciarulo, effective Fall 2012.  Congratulations to Professor Cianciarulo!  We look forward to having her as part of the Chapman Law community for many years to come.

Professor Hall and Professor Cianciarulo Co-Publish Op-Ed

An op-ed co-written by Professors John Hall and Marisa Cianciarulo entitled “Exit Tragedy” appeared in the Los Angeles Daily Journal this week.  The piece discussed U.S. policy of deporting Green Card holders who commit aggravated felonies (a term of art that can include minor crimes).

NeXus Journal Holds Panel on Immigration

On February 20, the NeXus editorial board, under the faculty supervision of Professor Hugh Hewitt, held a panel on immigration, which brought to campus several prominent scholars, including Bill Piatt, former Dean of St. Mary’s University Law School, and University of Florida Law Professor Robert Moffat.  Our own Professor Marisa Cianciarulo rounded out the panel
