Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, Panthers!

‘Tis the season of gathering with those near and dear to our hearts. We are excited to share our newest reference desk display, “Christmas Around the World,” with you. We have curated a selection of books to help the Chapman University community learn and discover different Christmas traditions from countries worldwide.

This display includes Christmas in Mexico by Jadwiga López, which explores how Christmas is celebrated in Mexico. A Christmas Adventure in Little Italy is also part of this display, and it tells the story of an Italian boy getting ready for Christmas with his family. The books included in this display celebrate how different countries celebrate Christmas. The connecting theme of this display is the ability to celebrate cultural differences while maintaining community connections.

We hope our display encourages students, faculty, and staff to learn more about the traditions of different communities to enrich their own! This display will remain up until January 2024.

Please have a wonderful and safe Winter Break!

*This display was curated by student employees Arianna Tillman ’25, Isabella Piechota ’25, and Kalea Brown ’26.
