The Leatherby Libraries have acquired a new subscription for all Chapman users: Ancestry Library Edition!

Powered by Ancestry.com, the world’s most popular genealogy resource, Ancestry Library Edition provides access to billions of census, vital, church, court, military, and immigration records dating back to 1521, as well as family histories, photos, directories, maps and more. Records from around the world are included, allowing users to research everything from trans-ocean ship records into the United States to Quebecois baptism records to German phone directories to Chinese lineage books. The entire database is searchable by names, birthdates, locations, and more.

Chapman faculty, students, and staff can access Ancestry Library Edition in several ways:

1. Via the Database A-Z List on the Leatherby Libraries website

2. Or by going to https://chapman.libguides.com/ancestry directly.

If you have any questions, please contact the History Librarian, Rand Boyd, at rboyd@chapman.edu, or the Coordinator of Scholarly Communications & Electronic Resources, Kristin Laughtin-Dunker, at laughtin@chapman.edu.
