Chapman University School of Pharmacy Professor Dr. Jeff Goad has achieved the rank of Fellow of the International Society of Travel Medicine – a lifetime credential bestowed upon professionals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the field of Travel Medicine.  Dr. Goad joins the second cohort of Fellows from this Society and is the only U.S. pharmacist to be inducted as a Fellow. Dr. Goad will be honored at an awards ceremony taking place in May in Barcelona, Spain.

“I am truly honored to have been included among this prestigious group of travel medicine professionals,” said Dr. Goad, FAPhA, FCPhA, and FCSHP, professor and chair of the department of pharmacy practice at Chapman University’s School of Pharmacy. “The more we can educate the public about the risks of international travel and how travel medicine healthcare professionals, like pharmacists, can minimize or eliminate those risks, the safer the traveling population will be,” continued Dr. Goad.

“Jeff Goad is another example of our outstanding faculty demonstrating leadership and an international level of notoriety for his work in immunization and travel medicine best practices,” said Ron Jordan, R.Ph. FAPhA, founding dean of Chapman’s School of Pharmacy. “We commend Jeff for his work that resulted in these accolades and know that they are well-deserved.”
