Chapman University School of Pharmacy is thrilled to share that we have been awarded the Walgreens Diversity Donation for the upcoming academic year. The award is a testament to both CUSP’s and Walgreens’ commitment to advancing diversity and inclusivity. The donation, totaling $8,000, will allow CUSP to enhance the diversity initiatives for our student pharmacists and further foster a campus climate that celebrates diversity.

The donation will fund two scholarships and CUSP initiatives to increase inclusivity in the classroom and boost the enrollment of underrepresented students. The first scholarship, the Walgreens Diversity Scholarship, is awarded to a student who demonstrates an interest in community pharmacy while also promoting inclusion initiatives on campus and/or represents an underrepresented group in pharmacy. The second scholarship, the Walgreens Multilingual Scholarship, is awarded to a student who is fluent in speaking in one or more languages in addition to English and who also has an interest in community pharmacy.

Chapman University School of Pharmacy is committed to DEI in all aspects of our academic programs and campus culture. The Walgreens Diversity Donation will support our expanding mission and core values. We are immensely grateful to Walgreens for their generosity and partnership, and we look forward to positively impacting the future of pharmacy education.
