, Calif. – The Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance at Chapman University will host the OC Home Fair on its Orange campus, Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The educational event, which features 25 different sessions to choose from and 40 vendors representing various aspects of home ownership, is free and open to the public. Orange County home owners, sellers and buyers are also encouraged to attend.

Topics, such as: improving credit, buying a home, reducing utility bills, the current state of the Orange County real estate market, investing strategies, and selling and staging a home for top dollar are among the variety of sessions that are offered at the event. Industry experts such as lenders, home warranty companies and insurance companies will be on hand to answer questions.

“A well informed public is the first step to insuring that past mistakes that led to the previous housing crash are not repeated,” said Fadel Lawandy, director of Chapman’s Hoag Center for Real Estate and Finance.  “As one of the leading educational centers in the Orange County community, it is our responsibility to provide this education when possible. Bringing together experts involved with home ownership for a free event is a great opportunity for the public.”

Speakers include:

  • Steven Thomas, Chief Economist at Reports of Housing, Account Manager at Title 365
