Culture and Industry: A German Perspective – April 8

Wilkinson College of Humanities and Social Sciences at Chapman University presents, Culture and Industry – A German Perspective on Tuesday, April 8, 2014, 12 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in Beckman Hall 404.
Programming and activities scheduled for this day include highlighting the culture of Germany as well as what is referred to as the German industrial model: innovative industrial relations, vocational training, and closer relationships between the financial and industrial sectors to cultivate economic prosperity.
Wilkinson College is home to the Department of World Languages and Culture, the Masters in International Studies, Department of Art as well as Communication Studies with experts in the field of international communications and serves as an international hub for Chapman University. In partnership with German companies including BSH Home Appliances, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Siemens to name a few, the college has developed a day in which Presidents and CEOs as well as innovative German and German-American professionals will engage in lively discussion with students on a variety of themes including design, language, environmental industry, international corporate and cultural relations.

Please RSVP with Janae Hightower at hightowe@chapman.edu. The first 70 students to RSVP will be able to have lunch with a speaker. You must include your 1st, 2nd, 3rd choice speaker in your RSVP. Participants will receive an RSVP confirmation but will be assigned to their speakers table when they check in at the event.
