Get ready to be a part of an experience of a lifetime! ART 393 Sustainable Design Principles Travel Course offer students the ability to apply their design skills in a real world setting while gaining a better understanding of Sustainable Design in the process.
Students will focus on how sustainable design practices are worked into strategic communication solutions. Each year the class works for a different client solving different communication challenges. Past clients have included: Wolf Olins, London Organizing Committee for the Olympic Games, AECOM, Buro Happold Engineering, and Lunar Mission One. Students are given the design brief before the course begins and complete two weeks of work at Chapman prior to leaving, teleconferencing with the client in London. The project continues once in London with face-to-face meetings with the client and design refinement. There are several field trips to London specific attractions that enhance the course. Prerequisites include ART 230, 231, graphic design major, or minor, and consent of instructor.

ART 393: Sustainable Design Travel Course
has a total cost range of $3,399.00-$3,738.00 and will not exceed $3,738.00. This program is Land only and does not include airfare to London. The program does include lodging, some meals and excursions. Tuition fees are not included in the price of this program. All Travel Courses outside the United States are approved for the Global Study portion of the 2007 GE Program.

This completed form and a non-refundable deposit of $500.00, paid to the Cashier’s Office or through Student’s Access ePay system, are due before 4PM, Monday, March 28, 2016. Please bring your signed Enrollment Form and confirmation of initial deposit to Center for Global Education located at 576 N. Glassell, M-F, 9-5 PM. Once we have received both items, you will be given access to our online portal, the Global Gateway, to complete additional documents required for this SU2016 Travel Course to London.
