Professor Chao will be leading the new Travel Course to Taiwan, with the focus of the course being on learning both Mandarin Chinese and about Taiwanese heritage and culture. Beginners to advanced students are welcome to apply, as the course is offered for any level. Students will have the opportunity to learn to speak, read, and write Mandarin, as well as learn about Taiwan’s unique and beautiful culture through excursions and events. During the three and a half weeks in Taiwan, students will participate in daily language courses, learn about cooking and calligraphy, visit theaters and religious temples, explore natural wonders, go on food adventures to night markets and local restaurants, and so much more!

CHIN 101A, 102A, 201A, 301A: Chinese, Culture and Society Travel Course has a total cost range of $1,687.00-$1,855.00, and expenses will not exceed $1,855.00. The program includes lodging, some meals, and excursions. The program is land-only and does not include your round-trip flight to Taiwan. Tuition fees are NOT included in the price of this program. All Travel Courses outside the United States are approved for the Global Study portion of the

 print the Enrollment and Financial Obligation Form and obtain the faculty member’s signature of approval. This completed form and a non-refundable deposit of $500.00, paid to the Cashier’s Office or through Student’s Access ePay system, are due before 4 p.m., Monday, March 28, 2016. Please bring your signed Enrollment Form and confirmation of initial deposit to Center for Global Education located at 576 N. Glassell, M-F, 9-5 p.m. Once we have received both items, you will be given access to our online portal, the Global Gateway, to complete additional documents required for this SU2016 Travel Course to Taiwan.
