Get ready for an unforgettable summer travel experience to Cambodia and Vietnam! Take part in the Travel Course CSP 514A: Counseling, Intervention in Multi Settings, which allows students to experience the wonder and magnificence of these two South-East Asian countries.

In Cambodia, students will participate in authentic cooking classes, visit local markets and Buddhist temples, and discover Khmer architecture at Angkor Wat, the eighth wonder of the world. In Vietnam, students will take a journey on the Golden Cruise through Halong Bay and visit caves using kayaks or traditional sampans, while basking in the natural beauty that abounds. The course is designed to allow students the opportunity to travel to Cambodia and Vietnam to learn about the impact of diversity in the field of counseling and psychology. While students learn about Cambodia and Vietnam’s inspiring histories and cultures, they will also work to develop their cross-cultural communication skills, which are necessary to effectively work with families of varying cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. The issues and topics discussed during the course include immigration, poverty, sexism, and racism and how they impact counseling practices and the development of effective interventions.

CSP 514A: Counseling, Intervention in Multicultural Settings Travel Course has a total cost range of $3,458.00-$3,804.00 and will not exceed $3,804.00. This program is Land only and does not include airfare to Cambodia or from Vietnam. The program does include one-way airfare between Siem Reap/Danang and Danang/Hanoi, lodging, some meals and excursions. Tuition fees are NOT included in the price of this program.  All Travel Courses outside the United States are approved for the 
Global Study
 portion of the 2007 GE Program.

, print the Enrollment and Financial Obligation Form and obtain the faculty member’s signature of approval. This completed form and a non-refundable deposit of $500, paid to the Cashier’s Office or through Student’s Access ePay system, are due before 4 pm, Monday, March 28, 2016. Please bring your signed Enrollment form and confirmation of initial deposit to Center for Global Education located at 576 N. Glassell,  M-F, 9-5 pm.

Once we have received both items, you will be given access to our online portal, the Global Gateway, to complete additional documents required for this SU2016 Travel Course to Cambodia, Vietnam.
