The most ubiquitous software in classrooms: PowerPoint
November 17, 2017
For many years the most visited post on this blog site was one that I wrote several years ago titled, “In a Rut with PowerPoint.” In that post I described a few alternatives to this software, that could help to shake up the presentation experience. I reprised this post a few years later, with some further suggestions for those who wanted to break out of the PPT mold.
And now, I can share a link for all who might see PowerPoint not just as a classroom tool, but who may want to think critically about this software and how it has impacted our world. Professor Patrick Svensson’s article “One Damn Slide After Another” does just that, and is well worth a read.
Moreover, Professor Svensson will be speaking at Chapman later this month, and all are invited to attend.
