Dear Chapman Community, Turnitin is an originality-checking and plagiarism-prevention tool that can check your students’ writing for inappropriate copying. When students submit a paper that utilizes this tool it compares the text to the database of student work, websites, articles, etc.  As of right now, Turnitin does not detect if a student is using ChatGPT.
