Emily at the RETS Associates office in Newport Beach

Congratulations to senior Business Administration major Emily Holbrook who was recently hired as a spring marketing and recruiting intern for RETS Associates. Emily is completing her degree with a Marketing emphasis and a minor in Advertising, while participating in the Accelerated Masters Program. She will finish her bachelor’s degree in 2019 and achieve her MBA in 2020.

Emily is active in the Chapman University community. She competed on the Women’s Soccer Team for three years and is a member of Delta Gamma sorority and Alpha Kappa Psi business fraternity. She also studied abroad for a semester at Anglo American University in Prague.

During her four years at Chapman, she has come to appreciate the services available through the Argyros School Career Services Center. The career events hosted each semester “allow for us to make more relationships with potential employers and learn more about what we want to do when we graduate,” Emily said. Emily had both phone and in-person interviews with RETS Associates. Shortly after the second interview she was offered an internship out of the company’s Newport Beach office.

Coming from the Bay Area in northern California, Emily discovered Chapman while being recruited to join the soccer team. Emily found out all that Chapman has to offer and knew it was the place she wanted to be after seeing the impact of smaller classes. In her words, Chapman University’s size facilitates personalized education and allows for the development of professional connections with her professors. Small classes allow students and professors to truly know each other. It is so helpful to have professors to help with class work, offer advice about the professional world and make connections for students, expanding their networks.
