On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, the Orange City Council unanimously approved the first reading of revisions to Ordinance 03-16, commonly referred to as the “party ordinance.”

The proposed amendments would assist with the control of parties throughout the city.

The revisions include:

  1. Adding a provision to make it a violation to attend a loud of unruly gathering.
  2. Extending the time period for a second response to be issued from the current 10 days to the date of the first response notice through “the passing of the next June 30.”
  3. Adding provisions for Private Right of Abatement and Attorney Fees.

The second reading of the Ordinance 03-16 is scheduled for the April 12th City Council meeting.
