City Council approves revisions to ordinance on loud and unruly parties

On Tuesday, March 8, 2016, the Orange City Council unanimously approved the first reading of revisions to Ordinance 03-16, commonly referred to as the “party ordinance.”
The proposed amendments would assist with the control of parties throughout the city.
The revisions include:
- Adding a provision to make it a violation to attend a loud of unruly gathering.
- Extending the time period for a second response to be issued from the current 10 days to the date of the first response notice through “the passing of the next June 30.”
- Adding provisions for Private Right of Abatement and Attorney Fees.
The second reading of the Ordinance 03-16 is scheduled for the April 12th City Council meeting.
