The City of Orange Public Works department has just informed Chapman University of the city-sponsored Palm Avenue street rehabilitation project and theADA ramp rehabilitation project on Glassell Street, both of which will be taking place August 1st through the 5th.

During this time, eastbound on Palm Avenue will be closed from Cypress Street to Olive Street. Lemon Street will have no through access at Palm Avenue. The contractor will be removing pavement on the south side of Palm Avenue. Westbound Palm Avenue will be open to traffic. All construction is set to be completed by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5th.

Additionally, on Glassell Street and Sycamore, the contractor will be removing the ADA access ramps at the southwest and southeast corners. The curb returns will be poured back on Wednesday and the ADA ramps will be poured on Thursday. The north side of the intersection will be open to pedestrian traffic.
