City Council approves parking permit suspension for area “A” during Inauguration
September 23, 2016
From Paul Sitkoff, Public Information Officer, City of Orange:
On Friday, September 30, Dr. Daniele Struppa will be officially inaugurated as Chapman University’s thirteenth President. Chapman University will be marking the occasion with 8 days of festivities, starting Sunday, September 25, through Sunday, October 2.
We anticipate that the inauguration will significantly increase both vehicle and foot traffic in Old Towne Plaza/Chapman University area during the various events. If you live or work in the Old Towne area, please be aware that the Orange City Council has approved a suspension of the parking permit restrictions for Permit Parking Area “A” for the duration of the inauguration.
There will be several different events, includes guest lectures, receptions, a picnic, and an ice cream social. While some will be by-invitation only, others are open to the community. To see the full calendar of events, and to see which ones are open to the public, please visit http://www.chapman.edu/about/administration/inauguration/events-schedules.aspx.
