On Thursday, June 29th beginning at 11:00 p.m., Chapman University will be replacing an 80-year-old underground water main at the corner of Palm and Grand. The project will be completed by 4:00 a.m. on Friday, June 30th.

While most of the project’s work will be executed during the day, a complete shutdown of the water supply on the south end of the campus requires us to work overnight.

During this time, a water pump will be running, as well as a small electrical saw. Our team’s top priority is to ensure minimal disruption to our neighbors. No diesel engines or heavy equipment will be used during this time.

Chapman facilities staff will be at the job site to assure only the necessary work is done. All back filling and concrete work will resume during normal working hours.

This project has been approved and permitted by the City of Orange. If you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us at (714) 289-2097 or at neighbors@chapman.edu.

We thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.
