With Commencement postponed until further notice, the Chapman community will come together on May 22, 2020, for a number of virtual events to celebrate the Class of 2020. These events are not meant to be a replacement for the actual Commencement, but a way for us to mark the end of the academic year and the completion of the academic journey. Get ready to celebrate…online!
May 22, 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm
President Struppa and members of the senior leadership team will kick things off by hosting a virtual toast on the Chapman University Facebook account. This event is intended for the entire Chapman community (all schools and colleges). Invitations to this event were sent to all graduating seniors on Friday, 5/1. Check your Chapman email for the details.
May 22, 5:40 pm – 6:15 pm
Directly after President Struppa’s event, Dean Hill and members of the Crean College faculty will host a Virtual Celebration on the Crean College Facebook account. This event is intended for the Crean College community including graduates, family members, friends, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. Email invitations to this event will be sent to all CHBS graduating seniors on Friday 5/8 at approximately 12:00 pm. We will also be posting flyers and updates on our social media accounts which we encourage you to share with your family members and loved ones. Use #CHBS2020 in your posts.
Other Virtual Celebrations
Anyone seeking information about virtual events hosted by other schools and colleges should get in touch with them directly for details.
Since Facebook is more widely used by parents and extended family members of our graduates, it was selected as the primary platform. You don’t need a Facebook account to watch the event but you do need one to like, comment, and share. We want everyone to engage in the comments as much as possible so dust off your old Facebook account or open a new one.
Follow Us on Social Media
Anyone who is not currently following Crean College on Facebook and Instagram is encouraged to do so. This will allow you to receive notifications and updates about our May 22 event. It’s also the best way to stay informed on everything going on in the college.
