PA Students Volunteering

Giving back to the community is a core value here at Chapman. This week our Physician Assistant students volunteered at RAD Camp (Rising Above Disability) in Costa Mesa. Established in 2014, RAD Camp was created to empower people, shining a light on each as an individual with unique and amazing abilities, regardless of disability, diagnosis or description. They offer a series of overnight weekend and summer camp programs every year. Each camper is paired one-to-one with a dedicated counselor who has been thoroughly background checked, completed a full training program and is overseen by team leaders who have been with RAD for 3 years or more. Medical staff (including our PA students!) were onsite round the clock to provide world class care, distribution of meds, first aid and emergency response.

PA Students VolunteeringOur PA students and faculty helped check in both counselors and campers. This included swabbing counselors and campers for COVID during registration, a vital step in keeping everyone healthy and safe. For more information on RAD Camp visit the link here.
