Tell us about yourself! Where are you from, and why did you chose Chapman?

I am a junior majoring in Health Sciences with a minor in Neuroscience. I’m from LA County but spent my early childhood abroad in Germany. I chose Chapman University because of my love for Southern California and the unique support offered by its small size and caring faculty, which I believed would help me thrive in my academic and personal endeavors.

Why did you want to get involved with SGA?
After my first semester at Chapman, I recognized that my success in undergraduate depended heavily on my personal outreach and advocacy, which inspired me to run for this position my sophomore year. I wanted to expand my efforts to represent other students like me. I believe that Crean College can provide more resources to better support its students, and I’m passionate about driving initiatives to improve this.

What are some of your goals as Crean Senator?
One of my key goals is to help more Crean students get involved in research, whether it be in physiology, behavioral health, or other areas of health sciences. I’ve been fortunate enough to engage in research opportunities, and I want all students to have access to similar experiences. I also aim to work closely with the Health Science Department Chair to restart initiatives that help track academic and professional goals, ensuring students are on the right path to graduation and beyond. Additionally, I plan to advocate for stronger mentorship programs that help students form meaningful connections with faculty and professionals.

Tell us some Fun Facts & Career Goals!
I enjoy practicing jiu-jitsu and am an avid hiker—my favorite national park is Bryce Canyon! This summer, I had the opportunity to intern at CHOC through their Mi4 program, which was an eye-opening experience. Looking ahead, my career goal is to earn an MD and work in public health, specifically advocating for women’s health and shaping policy. I’m also passionate about innovation and artificial intelligence, and I plan to pursue AI research this semester.

Are you involved with other campus activities?
On campus, I serve as a Supplemental Instructor (SI) for Dr. Kate Hill, am the Lead Resident Assistant (RA) for Pralle-Sodaro Hall, and hold board positions in ACS and AMSA. I’m passionate about being actively involved in the Chapman community.
