PA Challenge TeamChapman University’s Physician Assistant (PA) Studies Program has once again proven its excellence, earning back-to-back victories at the California Academy of Physician Associates (CAPA) Challenge Bowl! This latest win marks Chapman’s third championship in seven years, solidifying the program’s reputation for academic strength, teamwork, and clinical excellence.

This year’s CAPA Conference featured a record 17 competing PA programs, making the victory especially meaningful. Chapman’s second-year PA students showcased their deep clinical knowledge and quick problem-solving skills, bringing home another state title while proudly representing Crean College.

PA Clinical Professor Anne Walsh, praised the students’ dedication and preparation. “This team is a testament to hard work our students put in to compete at this level. We’re incredibly proud of our students’ performance and the positive feedback we received from CAPA leaders and prospective students,” Walsh said.

PA Faculty TeamIn addition to the Challenge Bowl, Chapman’s faculty, alumni, and current students participated in the Pre-PA recruitment event, where they connected with aspiring physician assistants and shared insights about the program’s culture of mentorship and excellence.

Dean Janeen Hill, of the Crean College of Health and Behavioral Sciences, commended the team’s effort and the faculty’s commitment. “Many thanks to Anne Walsh and Mayngan Stone for the time they have devoted to prepare our students for this event,” Hill said. “This achievement reflects the exceptional quality of our PA program and the dedication of our talented students.”

With three championship titles in seven years—and now two consecutive wins—Chapman’s PA students continue to raise the bar for excellence. Their success not only highlights the strength of the program but also reinforces Crean College’s mission to develop compassionate, skilled healthcare leaders who make an impact in their communities.
