Beckman High SchoolThis year marked our 4th Annual Medical Skills Event at Beckman High School, and it was truly our best yet. Once again, we are incredibly grateful for the leadership and enthusiasm of Professor Walsh, Professor Stone, and Professor Mirbolooki. Their dedication to educating the next generation of science and medical professionals continues to inspire our students year after year.

On Wednesday, November 19th, from 6:20–8:30 a.m., nearly 50 volunteers from the distinguished Chapman University PA Program joined us to guide more than 100 juniors and seniors through hands-on medical learning. Their expertise, and their genuine passion for teaching, created an engaging and energizing experience for every student who attended.

This year’s event featured eight interactive stations:

  1. X-Rays

  2. CPR Demonstration

  3. Practice Injections

  4. Stop the Bleed / Wound Packing

  5. Suturing

  6. Bedside Manner

  7. Taking Vitals & EpiPen/Oximeter/Blood Pressure Practice

  8. A brand-new station on wrapping ankle, wrist, and knee injuries

We are proud of this community partnership deeply appreciative of everyone who made this event such a success. Moments like these are what ignite passion, spark curiosity, and open pathways for future medical professionals.
