Chapman University students, staff, and faculty members are able to attend any of these lunch meetings as a way of sharing ideas and recommendations, while also listening to perspectives from other participants. These offer a good drop-in opportunity for folks to check out a group and learn more about what they will be working on for the semester. Lunch will be provided! Register for a CDP spring meeting

Participants are also welcome to sign up as members of these groups. Meetings are run by co-chairs of each group, which consist of students, staff, and faculty. Some projects that groups have worked on include:

  • Supporting the start of the Latinx and Latin American Studies Minor
  • Advocacy for the establishment of the Veterans Resource Center
  • Inclusion of free menstruation products in women’s and gender neutral restrooms on campus
  • Identification of and advocacy for expansion of prayer and meditation space at the Rinker campus
  • Advocacy for increased physical accessibility in renovations and new building projects
  • Completion of the Campus Pride Index assessing Chapman as an LGBTQ friendly school
  • Mapping campus amenities that are useful for students who may be struggling financially, including lockers, microwaves, refrigerators, and printers
