Lauren Brady recently graduated from NYU. Ian Rice from Chapman University in Southern California. They paired up with theater student Josh Greenwood and his friends to parody Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg's "California Gurls."
"We made a list of all the all the things you would first think of when thinking of Colorado. We also kept in mind what was feasible," said Brady.

In the Colorado Girls video, viewers tour the Front Range from Red Rocks to Cherry Creek, from Colfax to Coors Field.
"Hopefully people out of state will get some of our really specific references," said Rice.
The YouTube stars are now getting recognized around town.
"We were laughing because we got recognized when we went out last night. We got recognized by a number of different people. They said, 'You're in the video, we love the video.' They were pointing out their favorite parts. We had no idea that was going to happen," said Brady.
"I didn't think we would get this much exposure. We wanted to. But we also wanted to make a really fun video over the summer and utilize what we learned in film school," said Rice.
