It's been said that history is just one damned thing after another.  But when it comes to History of Television, it's one super cool thing after another.  Today in class we watched clips from:

The Ed Sullivan Show, including musical performances by Elvis Presley (and his swivelling hips), The Beatles, The Doors, James Brown, The Supremes, and The Mamas and the Papas.

I Love Lucy, including the classic episode where she gets drunk doing a product demonstration for something called Vitameatavegemin, an "energy booster" that is mostly alcohol.  Even 60 years later, the scene is still absolutely hilarious.
