Chapman Alumni Network Powers First Feature Film
Fourteen years after graduation, two Chapman University couples are proving that the connections made in Dodge College of Film and Media Arts classrooms can lead to extraordinary creative partnerships. Burke ’12 and Kellie ’12 Doeren, alongside Tyson ’12 and Lauren ’12 Call, released their first feature film together, “Grizzly Night,” on Jan. 30 on Apple TV, Amazon, and major streaming platforms.

Chapman’s love for K-Pop was recently showcased at Dodge College of Film and Media Arts, where directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans led a Master Class open to all students. Several attendees arrived in K-Pop-inspired outfits as they listened to the filmmakers discuss how they brought the vibrant K-Pop world to life in KPop Demon Hunters,
