Film Festival Corner Update 10/4/19
October 4, 2019
With the fall festival season in full swing our student productions have been busy on both the festival and awards circuit. Here are the latest updates!
Kunlin Wang (MFA/FP ’18) – OBSCURE
- First Feature Competition at the Tallinn Dark Nights Film Festival
We had 4 films be named Finalists in the KCET Fine Cut contest, 3 of which were chosen to be a part of the broadcast on PBS. Erin Lau’s film THE MOON AND THE NIGHT even took home The Jack Larson Southern California Student Filmmaker Award in which she will receive a $2,000 travel stipend and the opportunity to be a part of the American Pavilion Emerging Filmmaker Showcase at the 2020 Cannes International Film Festival as well as a $10,000 Keslow Camera Package. The broadcast’s began on 10/2 but you’ll still be able to catch our students films all throughout October, check out the schedule on the KCET website.
